Imagine a dynamic group of adventurous women, always seeking thrills and new experiences in the great outdoors. From Segway driving through scenic trails to paddle boarding on serene lakes, they embrace activities that push boundaries and bring joy. Their bond is forged through shared moments of laughter and challenge, whether they’re snow tubing down frosty hills or canoeing across sparkling waters. With a zest for life and a spirit of camaraderie, this group is always on the lookout for like-minded women to join their ranks. Together, they celebrate nature, fitness, and the excitement of active adventures, inspiring one another to stay active and embrace the fun in every journey.



Book Exchange

Bridge V

Book Exchange members each buy one recently-published book and once a month, passes it on to the next person on the list. 


Bridge V is an informal discussion bridge group.
8 players meet in the member’s home once a month. During the winter, we may switch to to on-line bridge. (Accepting Subs only)

Members get together at each other’s homes during the afternoon of the first Wednesday of each month to knit, crochet, or work on any portable handwork project.

Skill levels vary but enthusiasm levels are high. In addition to enjoying this social event, techniques, patterns, and tips are learned, taught, and shared.

Contemporary Books *

Members get together at each other’s homes during the afternoon of the first Friday of each month to knit, crochet, or work on any portable handwork project.

Skill levels vary but enthusiasm levels are high. In addition to enjoying this social event, techniques, patterns, and tips are learned, taught, and shared.


Books are selected in September and everyone takes a turn presenting a book and leading the discussion.


Daytime Social Bridge * 

Daytime Social Bridge consists of 12 players with a schedule drawn up where each person hosts twice during the season, and we have a potluck luncheon at the end of the year.


Dining Divas prepare delicious, healthy recipes, with casual elegance. Group members take turns picking a theme and hosting a dinner, with the host preparing the main dish.

We rotate the menu that includes appetizer, soup, salad, vegetables, dessert and wine.  


Draw, Sketch & Doodle *

Duplicate Bridge I (Zoom)*

Draw, Sketch & Doodle members will be outdoors sketching landscapes, architecture, figures, and animals, while on inclement weather days we will be indoors at homes, libraries, events, stores, etc. for still life, portraits, and possibly, lessons.

All skill levels welcome!


Duplicate Bridge I members have been meeting twice monthly for over 40 years!

We have a light snack as we begin playing and enjoy the camaraderie along with the challenge of getting the best pair score. (Are we getting competitive in our old age?)

Franco Divas *

Gourmet I *

We meet on the third Friday of the month at 1:30 from September until May.

Our aim is to practice our French, the language many of us used in our jobs. We enjoy getting to know one another through the various topics that we pick for our meetings, and when conditions allow, we meet in each other's homes.


Gourmet I sets a monthly theme, and rotates to each member's home. We celebrate milestones and enduring friendships.


Health & Nutrition *

We come together to explore the art of fine dining, savoring exquisite flavors, and celebrating the joy of food in a sophisticated yet relaxed setting.

Each meeting is an opportunity to indulge in gourmet experiences. Each year is a different theme. 


Health and Nutrition I helps our members make the best possible choices about food, exercise and lifestyle.

Activities include personal research, discussions, field trips and presentations. We also share fabulous healthy recipes and learn ways to modify recipes to make them a healthier but still tasty choice.


The Indigenous Issues Study Circle is a thoughtful and engaging group focused on deepening understanding of the history, culture, rights, and contemporary issues facing Indigenous peoples.

This study circle provides a space for members to come together, share knowledge, and discuss key topics that impact Indigenous communities, both locally and globally.


Let's Sing is the perfect venue for ladies who like to lift their voices in song to sing Broadway tunes and all the old favourites.

The group, accompanied by a piano, takes to song on Tuesday afternoons in a condominium common room (with room enough to social distance and still hear each other).


Literary Awards Book Club *

The Literary Awards Book Club is a dynamic and engaging group dedicated to exploring and celebrating books that have earned prestigious literary awards.

Members come together to read and discuss works that have been recognized for their excellence, whether it's the Booker Prize, Pulitzer Prize, National Book Award, or other acclaimed honors.


Midweek Hikers hike between one and a half and two hours, at a brisk pace, along different trails around the region. The hike are through rain and snow.

 At times a coffee or lunch stop is planned at the end.


Novel Lovers

Out to Lunch *

Novel Lovers' members nominate, collate and vote upon book selections online by mid-summer. At our September meeting, we finalize the schedule for the coming year, identifying leaders, hosts  and providers of light refreshments.


Out to Lunch meets for lunch each month from September to June at a local restaurant to enjoy the multitude of tastes and cuisines that abound in our region. Members pair up to take a turn at arranging one group outing for the year.


Pedal Pushers *

Pedal Pushers meets at 9:30 on Wednesday mornings from Mar-Oct, to ride on local city or countryside trails. Bikes adapted for trail riding are recommended (e.g., a hybrid bike). The length of the ride and trail changes each week, and we often stop for coffee or lunch along the way.


Pickleball group will play games at RIM Park with a time slot on Wednesdays at 2PM.  All playing levels across 3 courts are welcome. If interested, please email the leader.


Pottery * 

Potters will get together at the home of a local potter who has a studio to accommodate them.

Hand Building and Wheel instruction will be available.


Ladies, it's time to gather for some fun and games! Join us for a relaxed pub lunch, where we’ll enjoy delicious food, great drinks, and plenty of games!

Whether you're into board games, card games, or just want to enjoy some friendly competition, there's something for everyone.

Sleep Issues Support Group * 

The group gets together to attend movies.
Coffee is arranged before the movie, to discuss the feature.
Time/place is according to the movie – many at the Princess Theatre and Princess Twin in Waterloo.


Trouble getting enough sleep or getting to sleep? We understand the problem. We're willing to support each other with ideas and resources.

Sleep Apnea is beyond our scope but we want to meet monthly to share. 


Soup Luncheon

Sunday Hikers *

Soup Luncheon members, each in turn, prepare and host one luncheon, including  appetizer, wine, soup, rolls, coffee and tea.

Along with the delicious food, we enjoy a wide range of conversation topics mixed with loads of laughs.


Sunday Hikers meet for morning hikes on the second Sunday of the month, with an occasional stop for coffee. Members are encouraged to make suggestions and lead hikes if they wish.

Everyone hikes at their own pace - no super athletic abilities required.

The Dinner Club *

The Dinner Club is a new group that started this past September. We met once a month at a member’s home and shared a potluck dinner. The host would suggest a topic and the members put quite a bit of thought and effort in preparing a suitable dish to accompany the main dish that the host provided. Themes we had this year were Fall Harvest, Lebanese, French Canadian, St. Patrick’s Day, Italian and Mexican. We also joined The Dining Divas at Bloom Restaurant in January. There were nineteen of us. We were the only diners that night and got to sample the new winter menu. In addition to the wonderful meals we got to eat each month we also enjoyed the lively conversations at each dinner. It was interesting and fun to get to know each other better around the dinner table. It was a very successful first year for this group.


Travel I *

Travel III

Travel I members meet once a month, except in December, in a member's home, to travel vicariously across the world.


Travel III is a daytime group that enjoys fellowship and sharing travel information and experiences.


Wine Tasting I meets monthly from September to June. We taste wines made from various varieties with suitable food parings. Delicious and fun!


Wine Tasting II meets monthly for approximately two hours. Each member takes a turn at hosting, choosing a selection of four wines for the group to sample. The evening always proves to be interesting with our conversation catching up on everyone's monthly adventures.
